Instead we get a homo-erotic subplot fiddling on the sideline of a rather standard genre paranormal action novel. I was right, like always, about there being some romance, but nothing below the navel gets plundered or penetrated. I assumed that a novel with a woman’s butt in leather pants slapped on the cover would feature heavy romance. I have to admit that I misjudged Dead Witch Walking. It is described as, “perfect for anyone who likes vampires, paranormal fantasy, romance, or just a great beach book.” Since I like romance, and my fantasies can only be considered paranormal, I’m going into this with 2 out of 4.
